New Website Process
STEP 1: WE CHAT
BRIEF AND SCOPING THE PROJECT
In order to make sure that we are both on the same page when creating your online vision we need to chat. The chat is to build a clear and concise brief so that I can understand what it is that you would like to achieve and more importantly what your business is about.
We will work closely together to figure out the best design using market and competitor research. The brief will be interpreted into a scope which will include a quote and what exactly is covered by the scope.
STEP 2: DESIGN
LOOK AND FEEL DESIGN
This is a proposed graphic layout to show the structure and design of your website homepage. The idea of the look and feel is to give you an idea of what the website may look like once finished. This is so that we can develop with purpose.
Temporary filler content will be used if content cannot be supplied at this stage. The temporary content will be changed during the building process.
STEP 3: RAW BUILD
BUILDING THE RAW TEMPLATE
Once we have an idea of what the website needs to look like I can start working on the building templates and configuration of the website. I will build it on my testing domain online and send you a link once the raw build is done.
The raw build is to create the entire website in full so that if any changes need to happen can happen to templates or design we can manage them at this stage. If I do not have content to place, temporary filler content will be used. It also gives you an idea of where content needs to be placed.
STEP4 : CONTENT
CONTENT POPULATION
Once the raw build is approved we can move onto placing final content and making sure that the website is complete to the highest standards. All images, titles and content will be placed onto their dedicated areas. This includes products / events for more advanced builds.
A content document can be created along with a live editable spreadsheet of progress and needed content. These documents will be able to be edited and seen by both parties so that changes happen smoothly and everyone is working on one document.
STEP5 : SEO
SEO AND TRACKING
The website has been built for Search Engine Optimization but now its time to fine tune the SEO so that we can yield the best results. SEO, Speed and Security plugins are also installed so that the website runs optimally. Analytics and Keyword accounts are made for the website for future use
